so many upgrades in one day!!!
The Sandersconnection photo gallery is officially live! There are still many kinks to be worked out, so we’ll just call this a beta release. The URL for the photo gallery is www.sandersconnection.com/pictures , and I have put a link to it under “Pages & Links.” I have put up one small sample gallery so you can see how it works, but hopefully others will upload photos of their own soon.
HOW TO UPLOAD PICTURES TO THE GALLERY
1. You MUST be logged into your blog account if you want to upload pictures to the gallery. So, if you are not logged in to the blog do so immediately. Hopefully you know how to do this now.
2. Go to www.sandersconnection.com/pictures (either by clicking the link or typing it in manually)
3. You will notice that there is a link on the lower right part of the page that says “admin”. Click it. If you do not see the “admin” link, it probably means that you are not currently logged into your blog account.
4. After clicking “admin” you will now see a row of tabs, one of which says “upload.” Click it.
5. The first thing you will see under “upload” is an area where you can choose the name of the album you want to upload your photos to. You have a couple options here: 1) Create a new album. This is most likely what you want to do. Make sure the pull down menu says “a New Album+”, and then in the “called” blank write the name of your album (e.g. flowers at night). Make sure that there is a check in the box that says “Auto-generate folder names.” 2) Add photos to an existing album. You only want to do this if you need to put some more pictures in an album you have already created. (e.g. say Andrew has previously made an album called “flowers at night,” and he has just now taken some new crazy awesome pictures of dandelions in the moonlight that he wants to add).
6. Now click the “browse” button next to the lower blanks to locate the pictures that you want to upload. Once you have selected the desired pictures, hit “upload” and wait until the pictures are up. This may take a while depending on how many you are uploading at once.
7. The next screen you to add a description to the album you just created, and it also lets you create titles and descriptions for the pictures you have just uploaded. You can have fun with this.
8. Click “save” and you are done.
If anyone has any questions about this, or if you run into any trouble, let me know. I know it’s kind of a pain that you have to log into your blog account before being able to upload, and I may try to change this in the future. However, it does have the advantage of not giving you more logins and passwords to remember. Enjoy!
